  What is MagicMenu ?
  -------------------

MagicMenu is a Windows frontend for the DOS MagicEngine emulator
(version 0.9 only), which emulates the PC Engine games console.

MagicMenu is written in Borland's Delphi.

Unlike other frontends for MagicEngine, MagicMenu allows you to
configure MagicEngine directly without having to edit the PCE.INI
  file manually.

MagicMenu also provides screenshots of each game which are stored in
the IMAGES sub-directory in Windows BMP format. The images can
be grabed from MagicEngine by pressing CTRL + F11, then renamed to the
same name as the corresponding ROM image (A complete screenshot archive
can be obtained separatly; see "Contacting Tesko Development" for
  details).

  What machine is required ?
  --------------------------

A 486 or greater running Windows 3.x or Windows 95.

How do I install MagicMenu ?
  ----------------------------

Firstly, locate your MagicEngine directory and create an IMAGES
sub-directory. This will be used for storing screenshots of the games.

Copy MAGMENU.EXE, MAGROMS.INI, and PCE.INI (overwriting existing copy) into
  the same directory as MagicEngine.

Create a Windows shortcut to MAGMENU.EXE and you're ready to go.

How do I use MagicMenu ?
  ------------------------

When MagicMenu is loaded, you will be presented with a main screen split
into two pages called "Files" and "Options".

    Files
    -----

This page is used for loading the images. On the left is a table which
lists the available images by their full name (if availble), but also
displays the 8 character file name and the size of the image.

On the right a screenshot of the game is displayed is available.

You can load an image by either double-clicking the left mouse button
on the selected image or by clicking the launch button on the speedbar
    (first button on the left).

    Options
    -------

Due to the number of available options, I have split the options screen
into three pages which can be selected by clicking on the "Audio and
Video", "Joypad and CD-ROM" or "Paths" tabs at the bottom of the
    "Options" screen.

All the options on these pages (with the Exception of "Images Directory"
on the "Paths" page) are self explanatory, but if you need any help
please refer to the MagicEngine documentation.

The "Images Directory" is used to tell MagicMenu where to look for
images as a default. To change the directory, click on the folder icon
to the left of the edit box.
